Local vocalist, Stephanie Strachan, coaches the group. We already have a significant repertoire. The group members are enjoying the sessions and having fun whilst improving the quality of our singing. Members of the group took part in a very successful singing event at the Scottish u3a Jamboree in August 2025.
The singing group meet weekly on Thursday mornings. Among the benefits to us are that we feel happy and it positively aids our mental wellbeing. Members can suggest ideas for popular songs they would like to sing as a group. Previous choices ranged from well-known modern ballads like Bridge Over Troubled Water to classic compositions like Sing Low Sweet Chariot.
We have room for more people and if you like to sing please come along and join in, you’ll be made very welcome. You don't have to be a Pavarotti or a Katherine Jenkins - you just need to enjoy singing. If you would like to know more then please contact the group leader, Alex, using the link above.
