Our next meeting is on Thursday 11th June, when we will continue with Scarborough Fair, Green Glens of Antrim and Jambalaya. We will also look at In My Liverpool Home and re-visit The Loch Tay Boat Song.

The Music Makers group is ideal for people who can play or are learning a musical instrument and would like to get together to share their music. Everyone is welcome, whether you are a beginner, getting back into playing or a more experienced player. It is a great opportunity to join with others who are interested in playing music.

We are a small and enthusiastic group with a mix of musical abilities and instruments – piano, electric and acoustic guitars, ukulele, flute, mouth organ, keyboards and singing. We enjoy music from folk, classical and also more recent genres. We try to meet each month to share our enjoyment of music with time for coffee and a chat first.

If you are interested please get in touch to give us a try. There is no audition and all we ask is that you ‘have a go’ or you might just want to come and listen first. For more information please contact the group leader, Ellen, using the contact link above.

We had a great time at the u3a Social at Gabriels in January when we entertained our u3a members with a number of well-known folk tunes.
