We live in a golden age of music and I would like people to get to know and discuss our favourite music.

Each member of the group is asked to provide a list of their top 12 favourite albums. We then choose two albums each month and try and listen to them three times before we meet up to discuss them track-by-track. The discussion could include what we liked, what we didn't .....

If you are interested in joining the new group please contact the group leader, Don, using the link above and he will get back in touch with more details.

Meetings normally take place on the last Friday of the month at 2PM in Paisley Central Library - 1st floor just beside the lift.
Our next meeting takes place on Friday 26th June.
Please note there is no meeting in May.

In May and June we will listen to these 2 albums and 1 opera on YouTube -

Blue by Joni Mitchell

Where the World is Thin by Kris Drever - Lyrics

Gianni Schicchi , a short opera written by Giacomo Puccini

YouTube video with subtitles, about one hour long:

Plot Overview

The story follows the wealthy Buoso Donati, who has just died. His greedy relatives are devastated to find he has left his entire fortune to a monastery. They enlist the help of the cunning "new man" Gianni Schicchi to forge a new will. Schicchi disguises himself as the dead man and dictates a new will to a notary—but instead of leaving the riches to the relatives, he bequeaths the best of the estate to himself.
Includes the well-known song O mio babbino caro (Oh my beloved father)

Hope to see you on the 26th June at 2.
