Pickleball is very popular and is a cross between tennis and table tennis. It can be played on indoor or outdoor courts. Players use a large bat, a hard plastic ball and a low net for shots. Everyone should always take 5 mins dinking at the net before starting a game to get warmed up. There is always an opportunity for a cuppa and a chat afterwards.

'Our recent 2025 competition was closely contended.  It needed a play-off for 1st and 2nd place.
Congratulations to our winners Maria and Eddie and to Liz and John our runners up.
My thanks to everyone who participated and made it a competitive tournament'

We meet every Monday for exercise and fun. We are a friendly bunch and don't take ourselves too seriously. The group only play doubles so you will always have someone there to help with the rules and to cheer you along. Bats and balls will be provided, just remember to wear suitable/appropriate footwear for a gym hall. For more information on how to play Pickleball use this link to Pickleball Scotland , Alternatively here is short version of the rules in pdf format Pickleball Scotland rules (c) Pickleball Scotland).

Recently Renfrewshire Leisure has reduced the number of available courts for Pickleball. Currently the group is full but if you are interested in joining the group or would like to know more you can be added to a waiting list. The group leader, Irene, can be contacted using the contact link above.
