The next group outing is on Tuesday 7th July 2026 meeting at 10:30. The venue for this meeting is the Glasgow Botanic Gardens. The exact meeting details will be issued nearer the event.

In June the group meet at Newark Castle Port Glasgow, were we sketched both the inside and outside.

May's meeting took place in Dykebar Hospital grounds in Paisley. The group sketched some of the old hospital buildings.

The Outdoor Sketching Group is just that - a time and place outside to enjoy looking around and drawing what you see. Members need to bring their own materials, a rigid sketch pad and you can use any medium you prefer. Usually, we meet in or near places where we can also have a cuppa or light lunch. Sketching in a group can feel more comfortable than going it alone and gives confidence and exchange of ideas. There is no teaching as such, but we learn from each other and progress. More important is the pleasure the process of drawing offers.

The group is open to all levels of artistic skill, including beginners. If you are interested in joining the group or would like to know more please get in touch with the group contact, George, using the contact link above.
