We are a sociable group which meets once a month for lunch. We like to try food from different countries as well as traditional Scottish fayre and generally meet in the Paisley and Glasgow area. This year we have already tasted cuisine from Nepal and China, as well as traditional Scottish fayre. Our members make suggestions for new places to visit and different foods to sample. Equally, we also like to return to restaurants which have become firm favourites.

The date of our next lunch is on Tuesday 23rd June for 12:30pm at the La Bella Vita which is at the corner of Mosspark Boulevard and Paisley Road West. There is a fixed lunch menu with several choices and an a la carte menu. Prices are to be advised. La Bella Vita Restaurant

The number 38 bus stops close by and there is a car park at the rear of the restaurant.

April 2026	This month's lunch was at the Mill & Brae in Paisley, (previously the Gleniffer Hotel).
February 2026	We returned to the Pendulum, one of the earliest restaurants we went to .
December 2025	Our final lunch group event for this year took place at The West of Scotland Colleague Weaver's restaurant.
October 2025	The group returned to an old favourite, Ardnamurchan, a Scottish restaurant opposite the Theatre Royal in Glasgow.
September 2025	A return visit to the Thai restaurant, Chaophraya in Glasgow
August 2025	A visit to Phat Buddha for a Thali meal
July 2025	The Lunch Club stayed local with a visit to Zambretto in Paisley
June 2025	A very enjoyable lunch was had at the Trattoria Genova.
March 2025	A suggested visit to the Ho Wong in Glasgow. The Ho Wong is a bit of a Glasgow institution and is rated as one of the best chinese restaurants in Scotland.
February 2025	This was to the Dé Buddha Authentic Nepalese Restaurant & Bar in Johnstone. There was a great turn out for the lunch and the food was very nice. We were even gifted a Buddha from Nepal!
January 2025	Instead of our usual meeting, we had enjoyable lunch at Gabriel's pub in Paisley with many members from our u3a. This was followed by a quiz, courtesy of one of our members.
December 2024	Our u3a Christmas Lunches were in the Weavers Restaurant which is part of the West College Paisley Campus. We were served a delicious three course lunch in lovely surroundings and then had fun receiving our Secret Santa presents. A good time was had by all.
November 2024	We went to the Dalmeny Park House Hotel in Barrhead. The restaurant was already beautifully decorated for Christmas.
October 2024	A visit a new Chinese restaurant called Zhima in St Vincent Place, Glasgow was a feast for the eyes.
September 2024	We enjoyed a delicious lunch at the iconic Nardini's in Largs.
