This time u3a Scotland brought something a bit different - the subject of u3a group travel. Many u3as have holiday / travel groups and others are looking to set them up.

This is a follow-up message to the u3a in Scotland Autumn Zoom Event which was held on 28th October 2025 to discuss the subject of u3a group travel.
We know that not all u3as can offer travel groups so u3a Scotland are considering a Scotland wide u3a travel group. At this stage we are gauging interest so if you are interested in this (obviously no obligation!) please email Gail - Chairperson - u3a Scotland
There was a lot of positive feedback about this presentation and it is certainly a topic of interest for many of our members. We had fantastic contributions from Dundee and Fife u3as on their experience of group travel and some really interesting contributions from the group travel sections of Riviera Travel and Glenton Holidays. Thanks also to Rob, a member of of Oban u3a, who gave a really interesting presentation on a wildlife holiday in Japan
