This coach trip to the Dunkeld area was for the members of the Paisley and District u3a on 9th October. Thanks to the hard work by our Chair, Kathy, the Paisley and District u3a were pleased to receive a grant from Age Scotland which paid for the cost of the coach.
In the morning some members enjoyed exploring the trails at The Hermitage (National Trust for Scotland) at Dunkeld and others visited to the Beatrix Potter Visitor Centre and gardens in nearby Birnam.
The group went to Dunkeld House Hotel for a delicious lunch followed by coffee and generous sweet treats with a lovely view of the river. Lunch was followed by a fun quiz to test our general knowledge with a short section on the Dunkeld area.
After lunch there was free time to explore Dunkeld before leaving at 5pm. The group explored the town, shops and cafes along with walks across the bridge and along the river Tay.
