A day trip to Melrose was arranged. The bus left Paisley to arrive in Melrose around 11:15 am. Similar to the Kirkcudbright trip, an evening meal will be offered before leaving Melrose around 7pm.

There were many places to visit. Within five minutes walk of the High street there is:

Proiorwood Gardens (NTS)
Melrose Abbey
Melrose Gardens
Trimontium Museum (Roman Fort story)

For anyone who wanted to stretch their legs Eildon Hill was not too far away
